Strand of Oaks - Atlantic City (Bruce Springsteen cover, live)

Strand of Oaks crafted perhaps my favorite album from this year, effortlessly mixing the brutal honesty of Bruce Springsteen with the hallucinogenic lyricism of Neil Young. This is the second Bruce Springsteen cover I've heard from him, and both are equally lovely. Tim elongates the song, stretching out the misery, turning it into a howl, a last chance to be heard, not to be saved, just remembered. Gorgeous.

I would personally love to hear The Boss take on "Last to Swim". It's perhaps the most beautiful song released this year. The moment where the song opens up(you'll know) is so goddamned stunning.
